Nintendo 3DS to offer free Wi-Fi at 25,000 US locations

It’s cool that the Nintendo 3DS has full online support, but that sucks when you have no access. Nintendo is looking to help out a bit on that front by offering free Wi-Fi at 25,000 locations nationwide. That means shopping centers, stores, coffee shops, airports and more will let you go oinline with your 3DS.

Nintendo has formed an alliance with AT&T, Best Buy, and the Simon Property Group (a shopping mall mega-group) to pipe free internet to your 3D portable. If you’re in a mall, near an AT&T hotspot, or near one of 1,000 Best Buy stores, check your 3DS — you’ll probably be online.

This all kicks off on June 7th. Thank you, Nintendo!
