Nintendo 3DS eShop is open for business

Recommended Videos

Not to rest on their laurels following the Microsoft and Sony press conferences, Nintendo has pushed the new 3DS update live. As previewed by Hamza a few days ago, this update adds more to the system than the 3D music video by OK Go that came with the last one.

Arriving tonight is the much-anticipated 3DS eShop, complete with a free copy of Excitebike 3D, the Augmented Reality-enabled Pokedex 3D app, a free Internet browser complete with 3D functionality for specific sites, as well as the ability to transfer or purchase over 350 DSiWare games.

So wipe the dust off of your 3DS, plug it in, and update your system. Be sure to come back tomorrow morning for Destructoid’s coverage of Nintendo’s press conference, as well as live coverage from the rest of E3 over the next few days.
