Nex is leaving Destructoid: This is the end beautiful friend

Recommended Videos

All good things must come to an end and apparently that also applies to whatever it is that I do here.

As you may have gleaned from the headline, this is my last post here at Destructoid. I’ve been offered a job with Wired, and aside from collecting their large checks, I’ll be writing on a daily basis for their Game|Life blog. It took a lot of soul-searching and counting zeros to come to this decision, but since my goals in life all revolve around swimming in Scrooge-McDuckian vaults of gold coins, you can see how this route was almost predetermined.

Since my eyes are quickly welling up with tears and my dog needs to go outside to pee, I’ll keep this short: I love you all and if it wasn’t for my shallow preoccupation with things like not starving and being able to buy speedboats, I’d never leave you.

That said, if you need me I’ll be over here in my speedboat with these two gorgeous twins and this dinosaur who I had cloned from a chunk of amber. Like Scooby Doo before me, we plan on solving crimes in our free time, so if any of you had plans to dress up as crocodiles and scare people away from your uncle’s remote resort, THINK AGAIN!

*Nex hangs his hat on the door, turns out the lights and walks out into the world*

I'm Nex. I used to work here but my love of cash led me to take a gig with Wired. I still keep an eye on the 'toid, but to see what I'm really up to, you should either hit up my Vox or go have a look at the Wired media empire.
