Capable of excelling as both a meta main and sub-DPS, Mitya arrived as a godsend for all looking for an Electro Stellar-Conduct specialist in Genshin Impact.

But as he also comes with one of the most convoluted kits the game has ever produced, building him can feel like a tall task at first. Here are the best main and sub-DPS Mitya builds in Genshin Impact.

Mitya’s kit, explained

Mitya is a flexible DPS capable of dealing high on-field and off-field Electro/Stellar-Conduct DMG. The first pillar of his kit lies in his Detection Core. Generated by his Elemental Skill, the core follows and deals Electro damage to nearby enemies when in Steady State, allows Stellar-Conduct reactions to generate Gradient Beacons in Overloaded State, and provides the following:

  • Steady State: +30 Elemental Mastery (or EM) to the party for each Gradient Beacon Mitya has. Can deal high Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG by consuming beacons.
  • Overloaded (Triggered by tapping the Elemental Skill input a second time): Allows Mitya to consume Gradient Beacons to perform a continuous and devastating charged attack, dealing massive Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG.

His final Combat Passive then sets all into motion by allowing Mitya to turn all of the party’s Superconduct reactions (and their DMG) into Stellar-Conduct, now generating Gradient Beacons and putting him into Radiance. The beacons stay by the on-field character while applying the Polestar Field effect, increasing Mitya’s CRIT Rate by 5% (20% max) and boosting the team’s Stellar-Conduct DMG based on his maximum EM. Also generated via his Burst, up to four beacons can be active simultaneously.

The best weapons for Mitya in Genshin Impact

Mitya’s signature 5-star catalyst, Starsealed Edict, is his best weapon and provides both multiple Elemental Mastery buffs and a massive amount of CRIT DMG. The latter is huge here, as Stellar-Conduct DMG can crit to maximum effect.

Following the above, Dawning Frost is Mitya’s best 4-star option and can even challenge his signature if fully refined. Nefer’s Reliquary of Truth is also a perfect fit, although you won’t be able to trigger all of its passives. You can check out an overview of all weapons below:

WeaponMain Stat (Level 90)Sub Stat (Level 90)Passive effects (R1)
Starsealed Edict (5-Star)542 ATK 88.2% CRIT DMG+24% CRIT DMG.
+48 EM for 20 seconds following an Elemental Skill.
+24 EM per elemental reaction triggered by teammates during the above’s uptime (to a maximum of three stacks).
If on Radiant: Stellar-Conduct, each stack also offers +12% Stellar-Conduct reaction Crit DMG to Mitya.
Reliquary of Truth (5-Star)542 ATK88.2% CRIT DMG +8% CRIT Rate.
+80 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds after using an Elemental Skill.
+4% CRIT DMG upon dealing Lunar-Bloom DMG.
If the DMG and EM effects are up simultaneously, increase them by 50%.
Dawning Frost (4-Star)510 ATK55.1% CRIT DMG+72 Elemental Mastery after scoring a charged attack (10s).
+48 Elemental Mastery after hitting an enemy with an Elemental Skill (10s).

The best artifacts for DPS and Sub DPS Mitya

With his recommended weapons already providing plenty of CRIT DMG, a 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow is the best option for main DPS Mitya, with a full Gilded Dreams set feeling handmade for the sub-DPS role.

All roles also demand a heavy investment in Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, and CRIT Rate, as you will need it to max out the team’s Stellar-Conduct DMG and his Burst uptime. Go for the following main stats to close the build:

  • Flower of Life: HP
  • Plume of Death: ATK
  • Sands of Eon: Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet of Eonothem: Elemental Mastery
  • Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate > Elemental Mastery

Best Mitya teams in Genshin Impact

As an on-field DPS, Mitya relies on his Overload-charged attack combos to deal most of his DMG, something he can only do if paired with a Cryo enabler/main buffer (ideally Odette). Valeriy is then his ideal secondary support/shielder, with Yae Miko being the perfect fourth slot pick via her high DMG and energy generation. Here’s an overview of the best Mitya main DPS teams and a F2P-friendly alternative:

  • Mitya + Odette + Yae Miko + Valeriy (C6)
  • Mitya + Qiqi + Yae Miko + Valeriy
  • Mitya + Sucrose/Yae Miko + Diona + Valeriy (F2P pick)

Best Mitya Sub DPS teams

If you wish to use Mitya as an EM-focused reaction sub-DPS, he will usually take Yae Miko’s place as the main Electro applier in Sandrone’s best team, although both can work in tandem when paired with Wriothesley. As you can see below, he can also be a key component in one of Cyno’s most F2P-friendly teams.

  • Sandrone + Mitya + Odette + Escoffier/Alyosha (Best in Slot)
  • Wriothesley/Cryo Traveler + Mitya + Odette + Yae Miko (If you don’t have Sandrone)
  • Cyno + Mitya + Odette/Qiqi + Yae Miko (F2P friendly)

Is Mitya a must-pull?

Thankfully for all saving for Anastasya, Mitya is not a must-pull in Genshin Impact. After all, even if a premier Electro/Stellar-Conduct main DPS, he can be challenged in the role by other 5-stars within his type, such as Cyno. He is also not irreplaceable in the sub-DPS role, with a C1 Yae Miko being able to perform just as well and even surpassing his value in most meta compositions.
