New Senran Kagura teased for 2017

The ladies live to fight another day

Today, September 22, marks the fifth anniversary of Senran Kagura‘s debut on the Nintendo 3DS. Five years of big bosoms, bad-ass brawls, and barely-there bras. Since 2011 we’ve seen five games in the franchise reach western shores. In 2017, we’ll hopefully be getting a look at number six.

Developer Marvelous has launched a website celebrating the occasion. It’s all in Japanese, but you can easily blouse browse through trailers for each of the games, getting a look at how the series has evolved from a simple 2D beat-em up with a stuttering framerate into one of the best brawlers on the market.

The most important bit of information is at the bottom of the page. According to Gematsu, the text translates to “and… in 2017 the girls’ battle will continue.” With the 3DS rumored to be sticking around for another year, I hope 2017 will see the follow-up to Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, which is arguably the best game in the franchise.
