New screens for the Resident Evil 3DS games

Even after all of your attempts to change my mind, I remain unconvinced that Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D isn’t going to to take a hit in the fun department now that you can run and shoot. I remain hopeful that Capcom will be able to pull it off, but at the same time, I’m preparing myself for disappointment.

At least the game looks pretty awesome. There is no denying that the 3DS is quite the little powerhouse, at least, compared to the DS and the PSP. My guess is that the PSP2 (or whatever it’s going to be called) will eventually make 3DS games look bad in comparison, but for now, I can say that these two 3DS games are some of the most incredible looking portable games around.

That goes double for Resident Evil: Revelations. With my diminished interest in Mercenaries 3D, I’m now looking squarely at Revelations as my most wanted upcoming Resident Evil title. It takes place between Resident Evil 4 and 5, showing a yet unseen Chris and Jill high seas zombie adventure. I’m hearing that the game will put an increased focus on generating a sense of claustrophobia, paranoia, and powerlessness.

I wonder who’s more paranoid, Chris and Jill on that zombie boat, or me thinking about how Capcom might screw these games up?
