Monster Hunter Outlanders is now out globally, and you can begin this unique journey on your mobile devices. As you progress through the game, you will come across different Adventurers, and they will all have unique roles on your team. Some are amazing options to use on their own, while others will complement and buff the remaining teammates.
In simple terms, Adventurers will play a key role in determining your chances of success as you take down the mightiest monsters. I will help you figure out who the better ones are and who you should avoid.
Complete Monster Hunter Outlanders Adventurer tier list
To classify all the Adventurers, I have used three different tiers.
- S-tier characters do incredible damage, work well in teams, and these are units worth rerolling for.
- A-tier characters are strong, but you’ll need to focus on their builds to get best results.
- B-tier characters are well-suited for beginners, but they have better alternatives in their respective roles.
S-tier
| Character | Reason |
|---|---|
| Fated Adventurer | The Fated Adventurer is easily the best option among all the others. Your player character can use any weapon, element, and adventure class. No other adventurer has this privilege, which makes the Fated Adventurer extremely powerful when it comes to builds. You can also level up your player character easily by gaining the required Insights. |
| Arkaya | Sound defensive adventurers are still limited in the current build of the game, which puts Arkaya into the top tier. His ability to stack shields makes him a great choice for beginners. While Arkaya is a purely defensive character, you will want to have such a support early in your team. |
| Midori | There are several good damage dealers already available inside the game, but I love Midori’s rupture mechanic. This is purely due to her ability to exploit fire weakness in enemies. |
| Keres | Having dragon teams will give you an advantage, and that’s why Keres comes in. She is specifically required to increase dragon damage, and you can also utilize her Evasive Fang to make her unkillable. |
A-tier
| Character | Reason |
|---|---|
| Pepper | The only thing stopping Pepper from going to S-tier is the removal of her dodge ability. A buff allows you to do sustainable damage and push her to top tier. |
| Madelyn | While she remains a useful unit for beginners due to her heals, you’ll find better units to use in teams. |
| Luka | A good damage dealer that you can add pretty early in the game. However, |
| Rhodes | The lack of useable characters with Ice attribute makes Rhodes an important unit. While he has decent mobility, scaling the damage requires you to complete a lot of steps without making a mistake. |
B-tier
There’s not much worth writing about these characters since they’re pretty weak in the current meta. You can use them at the start, but you’ll need to replace them eventually.
- Raya
- Pyro
- Ryunosuke
- Luxheart
- Ouyang Varen
We also have Haze and Freya added to the global version of the game, but I haven’t managed to pack either. Based on their kit descriptions, both should be in S-tier. That said, I will assign them ranks once I have tested them enough.
