Monster Hunter, but as a cute cat

Monster Hunter X (recently re-titled Monster Hunter Generations in the west) had one very adorable addition to the series: Prowler mode. This allows for playing as a cat instead of as a human — a transition that would strike envy in the heart of Maureen Ponderosa.

That’s, uh, that’s kind of all there is to it. You can be a cat and your friends can be cats. Don’t think about it too much. Watch this trailer and nod approvingly. Just accept it as an alternative viable option for monster hunting.

Last we heard, Generations was set to release in North America sometime in 2016. It has sold well enough in Japan, where people have been playing as kittens since last November. Supposedly, the game is the cat’s pajamas.
