Microsoft ‘invited something new’ to the Xbox E3 briefing

Let’s hear your best and worst guesses

Ever stare at a word or phrase for too long and start to lose your grip with reality? That was me pondering the latest tease for Microsoft’s Xbox E3 2019 briefing just now. It’s a simple tweet, but it has brought out rather imaginative speculation online about what awaits us this Sunday, June 9.

I’m hesitantly leaning toward new hardware right now. Microsoft is obviously going to talk about next-gen Xbox hardware during its E3 showcase, but what if this tweet is referring to something else, something unexpected? There’s also a line of thinking that this could be hinting at a service, or potentially a partnership with another company. Or maybe it’s Xbox-branded body wash.

I don’t know. You don’t know. Let’s hear some spitballing. We’ll circle back after the show.
