Metal Gear Solid 4 to be patched with Trophy support soon

Recommended Videos

Hideo Kojima has told Famitsu that the long-long-long-long-awaited Trophy support for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is on the horizon. It only took twenty-five thousand years!

A new budget version of the game is scheduled to hit Japan in August, and it’ll support Trophies right out of the box. Those who already own the game will be able to retroactively access the Trophies via a patch, presumably released around the same time.

Kojima also revealed that a Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary shindig is going down in Tokyo Midtown on August 30. Some big announcement themed around the idea of “connecting” people will be had at the event.

So, exciting stuff all around, provided you care about Trophies and/or vague announcements of announcements.
