Mario Party Star Rush gets new, non-soup can ripoff box art

Oh! Daisy

Whether it was always a case of it not being “final” boxart or a reaction to the fact that they were caught re-using their own assets, Mario Party Star Rush has new artwork, unveiled at gamescom this week. I sincerely hope this iteration improves upon the last several Mario Party games, because the previous portable and home console versions have been lacking, to say the least.

Can I just say — poor Daisy! She’s been around longer than the majority of the extended universe characters in the Mario Party series and she’s essentially been replaced with Rosalina. I mean I’m not complaining as the star queen has become one of my favorite new characters in the franchise, but for all those hardcore Daisy fans out there, it must be frustrating.
