Majesco announces JAWS games for 3DS and Wii

Just when you thought it was safe to play videogames on Nintendo products, Majesco has announced today that it will be publishing JAWS: Ultimate Predator for 3DS and Wii. Majesco previously published JAWS Unleashed for PlayStation 2 and Xbox back in 2006 where it was met with lukewarm reviews. As in that game, both new titles will see players controlling the massive great white shark ruling the ocean with attack combos and ferocity.

The 3DS version of JAWS: Ultimate Predator is being developed by n-Space, the studio responsible for the brilliant 2006 game Geist. Over on the Wii side, development will be handled by Tectonic Studios.

A game where I control JAWS with 3D visuals does sound appealing. But it isn’t really JAWS to me unless the shark explodes at the end, preferably for no logical reason other than the idea of an exploding shark is awesome. I can’t see that being the conclusion the developers have in mind.
