Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword playable at Comic-Con

Nintendo seems really excited about this: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is going to be playable at this week’s Comic-Con in San Diego. Is that a big deal or something? Does anyone care about this game? Never heard of it.

Skyward Sword will be a part of the Nintendo Gaming Lounge, which can be located at the Marriott Marquis & Marina at 333 West Harbor Drive. Note: that’s not in the San Diego Convention Center, but right next to it. No need to fight some dude dressed up like Wolverine to get your Skyward Sword on… although he’ll probably show up at the lounge, too.

Nintendo, along with a few third parties, will be rounding out the playable line-up. Expect to get hands on with Rhythm Heaven for Wii, Shinobi for the Nintendo 3DS, and more. Nintendo has also commission an artist to create a massive Zelda chalk drawing to commemorate the series’ 25th anniversary, so bring a camera and/or prepare to heckle that person as they work.

Finally, the lounge will also play host to a number of other events and fun times, including a Pokémon meet up on July 21 between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. Show up with your copy of Black Version or White Version and get your battle and trade on. If you’re not into Pokémon, show up anyhow: Nintendo is giving away collectible Kid Icarus: Uprising AR cards, too. Please go and grab one, and then scan it and send it our way. Thanks!
