3D oscilloscope on the 3DS!

The following might be lost on you if you’re not a music or sound person.

Japan-based Detune Ltd, the folks behind DS and 3DS musical software titles Korg DS-10 and Korg M01, are back with another new musical tool, the Korg DSN-12.

This 3DS software gives musicians 12 monophonic synthesizers that allow them to make some crazy noises that you wouldn’t normally hear coming out of a game system. DSN-12 features full touchscreen operation for song creation and performance. A pattern sequencer lets you build sequences with the stylus, and realtime control lets you get freaky with the knobs.

The big deal here that the software provides a 3D oscilloscope, allowing users to see their sounds and delve into sound creation.

Where do I sign?

Korg DSN-12 will come to Nintendo’s eShop for 3DS (also 2DS) in North America and Europe this September.

Be sure to check out the demo songs from Detune below.
