Konami Digital lines up a new 3DS puzzle-adventure game

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights is a puzzle-adventure game set in 19th century Paris. It follows an archaeologist named Jean-Pierre Lautrec, a crazy guy that searches for “living treasures” in underground Paris.

Konami says that you’ll use the 3D abilities of the 3DS to help solve key puzles to guide Lautrec and his cute assistant, Sophie, to the treasure they’re searching for. In puzzles you’ll be able to scrutinize objects from all directions, or zoom in to highlight scenery to match your map. The cutscenes will also be shown in 3D.

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights is scheduled to be released for Nintendo 3DS in Summer 2011. Right now there’s some screenshots at the game’s official webpage for you to check out.

It’s no Layton, but I think this game looks pretty good. Cute art style and puzzle-based adventuring is always a good thing.
