Is it time to get hype for the Fatal Frame 2 remake?

I’m hyped for the game, but should I be? There has been so little in the way of build up for the upcoming Fatal Frame 2 remake that its hard to be sure what to be hyped for. It’s also possible that we’re just getting teased with the idea that the game will really venture out of Japan. Remember when Fatal Frame 4 was confirmed for release in Europe? That’s is part of why I never let myself get to sure that anything is actually going to happen ever, in the videogame industry and otherwise.

That all said, I am definitely hyped for the theory that I’ll be playing a Fatal Frame 2 remake on the Wii someday. It would make for a near-perfect send off for the Wii to get Rhythm Heaven Fever, Dragon Quest X, Xenoblade, The Last Story, and a remake of one of the scariest games ever made all in its last year before retiring as Nintendo’s flagship home console.

It would be even nicer if some super-cool publisher brought the Fatal Frame 2 remake AND the already translated Fatal Frame 4 to the US in completely must-have 2-pack collection. That’s what I call money in the bank. What say you, Xseed?
