I ran into Jonathan Holmes on the PAX Prime 2013 show floor and not a minute later he had me trying out the 2DS with Jim Sterling hugging me dearly. Attempting to play a game and talk coherently with a camera watching your every move is a challenge on its own, but this was a new experience for me. And no, we don’t have an HR department.

The system’s shoulder buttons aside, there wasn’t much to complain about — especially at the lower, $129.99 price point. Nintendo is targeting a younger demographic with the 2DS and I think the device will serve them well. You may just end up liking it, too.
