Countless times before, we’ve been mesmerized by modders turning their beloved old consoles into portable wonders. Sadly, these devices have been out of reach for most of us, usually due to monetary constraints. Hyperkin, maker of fine videogame trinkets, would like to have a quick word.

The company’s newly launched SupaBoy allows you to play Super Nintendo and Super Famicom games on the go. It’s got a 3.5″ LCD screen, 2.5-hour battery life, two front ports for wired SNES controllers, a headphone jack, and AV out support. Check out that battle-worn price tag in the photo.

Having bought one of those SNES/NES hybrid consoles before, my concern with hardware of this type is that of game compatibility. According to the press release, Super Mario World, Starfox, Donkey Kong Country, The Legend of Zelda A Link To The Past, Super Mario Kart, Chrono Trigger, and others” are supported.
