The Path of the Ronin is a limited-time event in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 Reloaded. This current event offers players the chance to complete various tasks in exchange for special rewards. One of the most popular items is the new Bowing Blossoms weapon skin.

How to unlock the Bowing Blossoms Warzone 2.0 and MW2 weapon skin

For those who want to unlock the Bowing Blossoms Warzone 2.0 and MW2 weapon skin, be prepared for a lengthy journey. Though this is only around for the duration of Season 2 Reloaded as part of the Path of the Ronin event, Infinity Ward doesn’t hold back in the slightest.

This event requires players to essentially do a mastery challenge in a way. There are various challenges as part of the event. To get the new Bowing Blossoms weapon skin, you have to complete all of the current weapon challenges.

This requires players to complete missions for every weapon type, including SMGs, assault rifles, rocket launchers, melee weapons, and more. You’ll need to be a master of all weapon types to get this skin. Here are all of the Path of the Ronin challenges you’ll need to complete:

  • Assault rifles: Players must land at least 125 headshots with an AR
  • Battle rifles: Land at least 75 headshots
  • Launchers: Eliminate players 40 times using a launcher
  • LMGs: Get 75 headshots in total
  • Marksman rifles: 50 headshots
  • Melee weapons: Eliminate 30 players by attacking from behind them
  • Pistols: 30 headshots
  • Shotguns: 50 headshots
  • SMGs: 100 headshots
  • Sniper rifles: 50 headshots

As you can see, most of these missions have to do with headshots. But there are others that involve more specific methods of eliminating players. Completing one weapon category challenge will reward you with the Winds of Ash camo skin for that category.

However, to get the new Bowing Blossoms weapon camo, you’ll need to complete all 10 of the above weapon challenges. That essentially means getting more than 600 total eliminations with 10 different weapon types.

If you can complete all of those challenges, you’ll immediately unlock the Bowing Blossoms weapon skin. Thankfully, like some of the weapon mastery camos, the positive is that you’ll instantly have it available for all weapons at once.

Tips for completing the Path of the Ronin weapon challenges

Unlocking the Bowing Blossoms weapon skin is going to be as hard as it gets for a limited-time event. You can’t take your time with this one since you only have until the end of Season 2 to grab this skin. As such, there are a couple of tips I have for this task.

The key is to take advantage of smaller maps and modes. For Warzone 2.0-only players, I suggest checking out Ashika Island and DMZ. The former is a smaller map with fewer enemies but the added respawn nature helps you to get as many eliminations and headshots as possible.

On the other hand, DMZ is a more PvE-focused experience with light PvP elements. With all of the countless NPCs throughout Al Mazrah, that gives you one of the easiest ways to get plenty of headshots.

For MW2 players who own that game, I recommend playlists and maps like Close Quarters and Shipment. These smaller maps and modes give you plenty of opportunities to find a nice open spot to pick apart enemies repeatedly. No matter what you do, be prepared for an intense grind across all 10 different weapon categories.
