How to obtain Golden Pattypan in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Golden Pattypan is an ingredient you must plant, grow, and harvest yourself using Golden Pattypan Seeds in DDV. It’s a crop item, which means the only way to get it is by setting up a spot to manually grow some in your valley.
Golden Pattypan Seeds take about 20 minutes to grow, or closer to 18 minutes if you plant this crop in its native biome, Honeyglow Woods. You need to water it twice during this time to keep it growing, so carefully watch this plant to ensure you get it flourishing as quickly as possible.
When harvesting Golden Pattypan, make sure you bring a villager who specializes in gardening and two gardening Companions along to help. Having both means you’ll find extra Golden Pattypan when harvesting, thus making it much easier to quickly stock up on this key resource.
Once you unlock all Honeyglow Woods biomes, you can also place Wall-E’s Garden stall anywhere around the area. The crops that grow in it are random, but oftentimes include at least a few Golden Pattypan for you to harvest. It’s not guaranteed, though, so planting some yourself is still the best way to acquire this resource.

You can acquire Golden Pattypan by planting Golden Pattypan Seeds, available for purchase at Goofy’s stall in the Honeyglow Woods region for 50 Star Coins. This stall is unlocked during the Chapter 2: About Thought, Fog, and Light quest. You need to find and pick up the Shopping List to get it up and running.
You’ll need quite a lot of Golden Pattypan to progress through the main storyline and other key tasks in Honeyglow Woods, including cooking, crafting, gifting, and much more. It’s also a key component in the Foresty Quiche dish, which you’re tasked with cooking quite early on.
