Acorn Snails can be found swimming around the water all throughout Honeyglow Woods in DDV. While the vast majority of fish and seafood are native to one specific area, the Acorn Snail is quite different and can instead be found anywhere around this vast world.

This special fish is a DLC exclusive, which means you must have the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack installed to find it. You will never encounter an Acorn Snail outside of this world.

Once you unlock all biomes in Honeyglow Woods, you can also place Moana’s boat stall down in the world. She will then sometimes have Acorn Snails available when you collect the freshly caught fish from her.

How to get Acorn Snails in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Acorn Snails can be caught from white ripple spots in any body of water around Honeyglow Woods. You’ll never find them in open water, blue bubble spots, or golden ripple spots, so make sure you’re casting your line into white spots only when on the hunt for this creature.

If you don’t see any white ripple spots around the fishable bodies of water, toss your line into other colored spots. As you catch from other ones, you’ll make room for more bubble spots to appear, and hopefully, most of them will then end up being the color you need.

You’ll need Acorn Snails to cook up some Honeyglow Woods recipes, to progress through various missions around the area, and for all kinds of other smaller tasks like gifting and crafting. Because of this, it’s a good idea to bring a fishing villager and two fishing Companions with you when hunting for this fish, as both will help you stock up on Acorn Snails much more quickly.

When you’re done gathering Acorn Snails, you might consider moving on to other key tasks around Honeyglow Woods. Some good ones to work on next include the Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow quest, crafting all Honeyglow Woods Blueprints, winning Pooh Bear Sticks, and the Interlude 3: The Shadowy Surprise quest.
