The White Squirrel is an extremely rare critter that rarely wanders around the village, so you have to know exactly where and when to look to ensure you don’t miss it. Here’s how to find the White Squirrel in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Like all Squirrels, the White Squirrel exclusively wanders around the Plaza biome. Each unique critter you can find around the valley calls one specific region home, and for all Squirrels, it’s the central Plaza area.

Although the White Squirrel only explores this area, it’s not always out and about for you to interact with. This creature has a specific schedule, so you must search for it during a specific time to find it.

White Squirrel schedule in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The White Squirrel is only out in the Plaza on Sunday from 10am to 4pm. This critter is unavailable on all other days and times outside of this specific timeframe. You may have been looking for it during a different time since it used to wander the valley from 12am to 6am, but this was changed in the Dapper Delights update. Now, the timeframe is a little bit easier to deal with, although it can still be a bit tough since this critter is only available for a few hours one day each week.

Tracking down the White Squirrel is an essential task for many different quests you’ll encounter in DDV. Some missions that ask you to find this critter include Mirabel’s Dreamlight Parks Fest: Critter Snaps quest and the Squirrel! Parks Fest duty.

White Squirrel favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The White Squirrels’ favorite food is Peanuts, just like all other Squirrels you can find wandering the Plaza biome. You can purchase Peanuts from Remy’s party at Chez Remy for 200 Star Coins.

If you don’t have access to this food, there are several liked foods you can feed this critter. For the best rewards and friendship boost, you want to stick to Peanuts, but liked foods also help you get closer to unlocking this critter if they’re all you have. Here are all of the liked foods you can feed Squirrels.

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Blueberry
  • Cherry
  • Cocoa Bean
  • Coffee Bean
  • Coconut
  • Dreamlight Fruit
  • Egg-cellent Fruit
  • Gooseberry
  • Lemon
  • Raspberry

The White Squirrel and all other Squirrel variants you come across won’t accept any other items you try to feed them, so make sure you have Peanuts or one of the other items listed here if you’re hoping to interact with them.

How to feed the White Squirrel in Disney Dreamlight Valley

While most critters have unique feeding methods you have to follow to approach them, Squirrels are simple creatures you can approach and interact with right away. There are no special games or behaviors you have to follow. Instead, you can walk right up to the White Squirrel or any other critter you come across to pass over the item you want to feed them.
