Operator traits will play an important role in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s DMZ. With this trait, you can create builds focused around your playstyle. There are over 66 different options to pick from, but you can have a maximum of 18. In this guide, I will first explain how each trait works in the game.

All Operator Trait effects in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ
Traits can be divided into two major categories: major and minor. Major traits and their effects are always visible in the game, so you can choose what you want. Minor traits are only available when you clear the previous major trait on its path. Moreover, the additional effects of minor traits will be randomized.

Warfighter

| Equipment Professional | Slowly recharges equipped Lethals and Tacticals after use. |
| Combat Resistance | Reduces damage from explosives and the effects of enemy Tacticals. |
| Viper Sense | Conceals you from thermal optics and AI targeting systems. |
| Quick Fix | Reduces health regeneration delay when an enemy operator or hostile is killed. |
| Possum | Allows a Self Revive into Last Stand from death, restoring health to maximum, once per match. |
| Adaptive Restock | Enemy hostile drop one additional item. |
| Adrenaline Burst | Killing an enemy resets tactical sprint. |
Scout

| Container Looter | Chance to get extra piece of loot in containers. |
| Thermal Padding | Hides from UAVs and downgrades Advanced UAVs to UAV detection. |
| UAV Upgrade | Increases the range and duration of UAVs. Also upgrades them to Advanced UAVs. |
| Overwatch | UAV towers you activate never expire. |
| Field Crafting | Allows crafting items directly out of Common printer resources while deployed. |
| Investor | Slightly increases cash amount extracted. |
Survivalist

| Impact Smokes | Releases smoke when downed. |

| Numb the Pain | Applies Painkillers and Smelling Salts effects on revives. |
| Die Hard | Approaching an exfil while in Last Stand calls the exfil automatically. Also grants infinite bleed out time while in Last Stand. |

How to get Operator Trait Points in Modern Warfare 4
To unlock more Traits, you’ll need Operator Trait Points. They will allow you to unlock more Traits. To get more of them, you’ll need to earn XP. You can gain XP by completing different tasks, completing objectives, and killing enemies. Once you exfil successfully and get enough XP, you can then advance your Dog Tag level.
You get an Operator Trait Point whenever you advance your Dog Tag level. Once done, you can then use your Trait Points to unlock a new one. You can invest all the points in just a single tree, or spread it out across all three (or two out of three)
