Season 3 in Warzone 2 has brought a wave of excitement to the game with its latest addition of challenging yet entertaining missions for the Redacted Faction. As you engage in the final Tier 3 mission, The Excavation, you will find hours of engaging gameplay, filled with thrilling obstacles to overcome. However, players must complete three objectives to wrap up this mission.

First, you need to locate and read the Sniper Team’s Note, which will provide valuable information for the mission ahead. Once this is done, you must retrieve three Trackers from the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Drop. Finally, plant one Tracker at each bunker entrance, making sure to execute this task strategically. Successfully completing this mission will earn you the Shadow Warrior operator skin and 20,000 XP.

This guide has everything you need to complete the mission without much trouble. From valuable insights to effective strategies, we have you covered.

Locate the Sniper Team’s Note

To initiate the mission, find and read the Sniper Team’s Note. This important document provides essential information for the mission ahead.

You can find the note on a tall building in Al Mazrah City, which is known for its sniper vantage points. Navigate towards the building as marked on the map and ascend to the top using the zipline. Once you reach the balcony area, look under the stairs to find the note. Reading it will mark the completion of the first objective and provide valuable insights for the rest of the mission.

Retrieve and plant the trackers at the bunker’s entrances

Next, you’ll find the three trackers at the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Drop, situated in the southeastern part of the area. This Dead Drop is likely a familiar spot, as you may have visited it during previous missions. If you’re lucky enough to spawn near the Dead Drop, you can also finish this step before locating the Sniper Team’s note. Once you have all three trackers in your possession, you can proceed to plant them at the respective bunker entrances.

The first entrance is conveniently situated near the location of the Sniper Team’s note in Al Mazrah City. From the parking lot, descend the stairs and you’ll come across red paint marks on a brick wall. This is where you should plant the first tracker. Afterwards, for the second bunker entrance, head over to the bridge close to Taraq Village and find similar paint marks under the bridge where you must plant the second tracker.

The third entrance is in an underpass in the Rohan Oil area, where you’ll have to deal with a few soldiers before looking for a partially opened garage door. Head inside and search for similar paint marks where you must plant the third tracker. Once you plant all three trackers, the Excavation mission will be complete.
