Here are the New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC deets for the US

Last week, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata held a “Chotto Nintendo Direct” to announce DLC level packs for New Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan. Today, Nintendo of America purple Pikmin Reggie Fils-Aime detailed how the new DLC will work on this side of the Pacific.

While Japan will receive the new goodies today, we’ll have to wait until October 4. Each of the three packs, which contain three Coin Rush levels apiece, will set you back $2.50. The “Gold Coin Pack” is intended for any ol’ Mario player, the “Coin Challenge Pack A” is ripe for intermediate players, and the insane-looking “Nerve Wrack Pack” is reserved for Mario veterans. As in Japan, a second and third batch of stages will arrive towards the ends of October and November.

In regards to the video above, I’m disappointed that Reggie didn’t assume a polygonal form as Iwata did. It could have been glorious.
