Gyoretsu Nageloop shows off the weirder side of Nintendo

Recommended Videos

The last Nintendo Direct livestream was packed with big news, from the 3DS XL to the announcement that the next Smash Bros. will be co-developed by Namco Bandai. Hidden within the event was the unveiling of Gyroretsu Nageloop, a Magnetica-style puzzle game about working your way to the front of a line by body-slamming people into other people who are wearing the same colored clothes, which causes them all to fly into the stratosphere.

The game is out now on the Japanese 3DS eShop, and it’s even more unusual than it initially looked. There is tons of full motion video, canned applause, and… delusion now?

I’m going to beg every eShop publisher that I know and beg them to put this game out on the Western market because I love troubling fun. Catch some gameplay after the jump
