Nintendo has revealed a partnership with AT&T today that wlll offer free wireless hotspot access to 3DS users in North America.

Starting in late May, over 10,000 hot spots will be made available in restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops, airports, and more. The Nintendo 3DS will automatically connect to these wireless spots, allowing users to receive Street Pass content, access the eShop, play Wi-Fi compatible games, and more.

This is good news for folks wanting to watch the just-announced Netflix streaming content online, or looking to download Game Gear games to their 3DS game while drinking a latte.
