Feast your eyes on Kokuga, from the creator of Ikaruga

Recommended Videos

Everyone knows the name Ikaruga. Whether you’ve heard it uttered from your annoying shmup obsessed fan (probably me), or you’ve played it yourself on the Dreamcast, GameCube, or XBLA, Ikaruga has made itself a household name.

Even though your Ikaruga discs and data may be silently resting in a cold slumber state, you may feel the need to heat them up again after hearing this news. The creator of Ikaruga, Hiroshi Iuchi, is set to release his newest game, Kokuga, in Japan on the 27th of this month: and it has four player coop.

Sadly, there are no western release plans so far. Sit tight as we attempt to reach out to the publisher and see if we can finnagle any info out of them, if purely for selfish reasons (I want it!).
