Etrian Odyssey remake coming to the 3DS this year

Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl debuts in Japan in June

Rumors have been floating around all weekend as to what the mysterious Etrian Odyssey related announcement could be this week, and now, it seems as if we have an answer. Famitsu Magazine has revealed that the game will be a full remake of the first Etrian Odyssey for the Nintendo 3DS, titled Millennium Girl, which will drop in Japan on June 27th.

Not much is known right now, but the game evidently will have more content, voice work, and a reworked soundtrack. This announcement is kind of weird for me personally, because you can readily find the original on the DS, which will work just fine popped into your 3DS — plus it holds up fairly well.

But, oh well — at some point, you’ll be able to play the remake!
