E3 10: New Star Wars title coming to Kinect

Recommended Videos

In an exclusive arrangement with LucasArts, Microsoft announced today a brand new Star Wars game coming in 2011. A third-person action game, we were presented with a Jedi as he reflected laser shots back at storm troopers, used force powers and pushes, defeated gigantic droids, and finally entered a dual with Vader. Unfortunately, it was video only, so we saw no one actually play the game. Fudgie business indeed.

Stylistically, the graphics of this game are surprisingly nice. Aesthetically similar to The Clone Wars TV show, the game elicited some responses from the Dtoid staff that it looks almost too good. Either way, it looks like the sort of lightsaber game people have been wanting since the launch of the Wii. Without seeing a person actually act out the actions of the Jedi, it’s hard to tell if this will be the game of a Star Wars‘ fans dreams, or another buzzkill.
