Aion 2 is now out globally, and one of your first tasks is to pick between the Elyos and Asmodian factions. Both factions arrive directly from the first game but fear not if you haven’t played that one.

Choosing the faction in Aion 2 might seem elementary at first, and it’s indeed so to some extent. After all, you will have access to the same classes and same in-game content. So what’s the difference? The table below explains all the different outcomes that will take place based on your choice of faction.

Hence, there isn’t too much impact of your choice (at least, not in a game-changing fashion). However, the looks and esthetic of your cosmetics might matter visually, so you should pick accordingly.
Irrespective of your choice, you’ll always find someone from the opposite faction to fight in PvP, so that part remains consistent. Unlike factions, you should be very specific about your class, since it will have a telling impact on both PvE and PvP content.
