If you’re interested in Nintendo’s indie program, odds are you’ve heard of Nintendo of America’s Head of Digital Content and Development Dan Adelman. He’s the outspoken guy who is responsible for bringing many indie classics to the Wii U and 3DS eShop, who has gotten in trouble in the past with the Big N for speaking out against things like region locking.

Today, he dropped a rather huge bomb on his by way of his Twitter account — “Happy to announce I reached an arrangement w/ @NintendoAmerica whereby I can tweet again. Arrangement includes my not working there anymore.”

Well, that’s an arrangement alright! Dan has already moved on as a “marketing and biz dev for indies,” and even has his own website. Dan seems to be incredibly passionate about the indie scene, which is no doubt a big loss for Nintendo. He notes that they are in “good hands” however, stating that “people at Nintendo don’t need to be reminded that indie games are important.”
