Kameo: Elements of Power — now there’s a game you don’t hear referenced every day. Like other early adopters, it was my first Xbox 360 game and it got me through the system’s launch relatively unscathed. After covering Grant Kirkhope’s release of the Banjo-Kazooie soundtrack on Bandcamp, composer Steve Burke has reached out to say that he’s thrown 5 hours and 17 minutes of music from Kameo up on his site.

This “Complete Composer Edition of Kameo: Elements of Power (minus the Soundtrack CD),” as he’s affectionately called it, is a free download. Such a nice gesture! “It kind of chronicles the evolution of working on that game from start to finish, in the way I went about scoring it,” said Burke. “From its early GameCube days, a more lighthearted Nintendo style adventure, to the later dramatic and full orchestral tracks that eventually fitted the Xbox 360 version.”
