[Update: According to a verified tip from an anonymous GameStop employee, the Code Name S.T.E.A.M. cards are only intended for GameStop employees. Participating stores have been limited to only five cards per store, and the cards are “not for resale or distribution to the general public.” We’ve attached the letter from Nintendo of America below.]

A NeoGAF user is reporting that select GameStop stores have obtained demo codes for Code Name S.T.E.A.M. The demo will be giving out in card form, with a download code on the reverse side.

Stores reportedly have them in stock, but aren’t distributing them yet, and the codes themselves aren’t even active. We’ve reached out to GameStop and Nintendo for more information.

There was a time when I had no interest in this game, but the Fire Emblem amiibo feature has single-handedly convinced me to go all-in.
