Check out the Nintendo 3DS early at PAX East

Going to PAX East? We are, though I really hate the name PAX East. It sounds like an inferior, eastern version of some disease. Or an inferior version of an existing, superior event. Stupid name or no, there’s still going to be cool sh*t and cool people there. Nintendo’s even bringing the 3DS for you to play a bit early — about 15 days early.

Nintendo will have 3DS systems set up at the March 11-13 event, set to go down in Boston. They’re bringing a ton of game demos to show off: Steel Diver, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pilotwings Resort, nintendogs + cats and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. And from the third parties: LucasArts’ LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Tecmo Koei’s Dead or Alive: Dimensions, and Capcom’s Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

They’re also bringing non-3DS stuff, if you care. Expect to see Pokemon White and Black, and Mario Sports Mix with no one playing, either.

All this 3DS stuff is good enough of a reason to go to PAX East on its own.
