Capcom survey wants your input on key franchises

Here’s your chance, people

Capcom is currently running a brief survey regarding a bunch of its major properties as they relate to the company’s future dealings with digital distribution. “There’s no guarantees on what the outcomes will be, but I promise you, this data will be a factor in our decision making process,” writes Capcom’s Christian Svensson.

The survey itself plays around with the notion of straight ports of the classics, HD remakes, franchise reboots and extensions, and original IP. There’s even a scale that plots out Mega Man 1 through 10 and Mega Man X through X8, asking what your purchase likelihood would be. Compilations of both series? Yes, please! Another rating scale suggests a new HD sprite-based or 2.5D Mega Man, among other possibilities.

There are similar questions about other franchises, so clearly they have been doing a lot of brainstorming lately. What will actually come of this remains to be seen, but if you’re one of the more vocal Capcom fans, take the time to give input here. This stuff can matter.
