Bravely Second: End Layer, the follow-up to last year’s Bravely Default, is out now in Japan.

Square Enix still hasn’t said anything about an international release, in case you were wondering. The publisher didn’t believe the original game had a viable market outside of Japan, but Nintendo took a shot in the dark and bet westerners still like a good old-fashioned role-playing game now and then. Newsflash: We do!

As it turns out, it sold quite well, which baffled and delighted executives at Square Enix enough to make them reconsider how they do things. So, chances are, we’ll see that sequel eventually. Probably. Good lord, I hope so.
