Best M4A1 Loadout and faction in XDefiant

A true jack of all trades for any gunfight.

Class-leading mobility, easy-to-control recoil, and reliable damage output are just a few of the many characteristics that make the M4A1 a phenomenal weapon in XDefiant.

Players could argue that any AR is the best option depending on what they prefer. The M16A4 for example requires skill and precision but can take down enemies in two well-placed bursts. Next up, the MDR provides a perfect hybrid between an SMG and AR that shines on close-scale maps. If those don’t suit your playstyle, the AK-47 leads ARs in damage output at the cost of accuracy. Meanwhile, the M4A1 falls somewhere in between all of these options, giving players a little bit of everything desired from a primary weapon while at the same time not shining in any particular category.

If you are new to XDefiant, the M4A1 is a good first weapon, as the AR is nimble and doesn’t require too much of a learning curve to pick up and start using. Our loadout focuses on improving recoil control, aim-down sight speed, and overall mobility without making substantial sacrifices. As a result, this set of attachments combines to form a fast and lethal weapon from any range. Players will still have an issue going toe-to-toe in terms of firepower with the M16A4 and AK-47, but the speed and accuracy more than makes up for that deficiency.

Best XDefiant Faction for the M4A1

Choosing a faction for this loadout depends on your preferred play style. Suppose you are a slower, more defensive-minded player. In that case, we recommend using Phantoms, as the Mag Barrier provides a helpful shield while playing the objective, and the increased health makes it easier to win gunfights. For aggressive players, it makes more sense to use the Cleaners faction, as the Incendiary Rounds kill enemies faster in short to medium range engagements and the Firebomb ability is perfect for trying to clear off an objective on offense.
