Bayonetta could have been in Project X Zone 2

Kamiya turned down the request

How long is too long to spend reading Hideki Kamiya’s Twitter feed? (I’m asking for a friend.) If you’re unfamiliar with the Platinum Games designer’s online antics, his pinned tweet, “REPEAT for insects: Don’t try too hard,” has a little doodle to set the stage.

Asked if he would ever consider letting Bandai Namco include Bayonetta in the cameo-laden tactical RPG series Project X Zone, Kamiya responded “Blocked.” Wait, no. That’s not right!

He actually commented “Not bad,” and added that “There was an offer, but I said no. Now I kinda regret that I said no.”

Bayonetta alongside the likes of Captain Commando, Phoenix Wright, Jill Valentine, Dante, Ryo Hazuki, Ulala, and Segata Sanshiro? I can’t see that not being cool. If there’s a chance for a team-up in a future installment, I’d also want Rodin and Enzo.
