Pre-order now, again!
Nintendo’s Australia and New Zealand region Twitter account noted that, as is the case elsewhere, “Due to overwhelming demand, New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition is currently unavailable for pre-order in AU/NZ.”
“[H]owever,” it continues, “an additional limited quantity will come to AU/NZ in March. Stay tuned to your local retailer for availability.”
While this limited quantity isn’t coming to the region until March, EB Games Australia has pre-orders for the tardy units open right now.
Play-Asia has a listing for the US territory version of the console (pre-order option coming soon), where it will likely be sold at a markup not too dissimilar to the for-profit flips littering eBay. Meanwhile, Amazon UK sold out a few hours after it went on sale earlier today.
No word yet if the US will be getting second stock of the sold out system, or if it’ll be up for purchase at any other retailers (like Amazon). Aside from paying extra, the only other hope for American audiences right now is catching a loose GameStop pre-order that wasn’t paid for by today and thus free game to pick up tomorrow.
