Apple CEO Tim Cook reportedly visited Valve today

[Update: Commenting on the rumor in an interview with Seven Day Cooldown, Valve’s Gabe Newell said that “Nobody here was meeting with Tim Cook or with anybody at Apple that day.”]

As reported by Apple Insider, Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen visiting Valve’s headquarters in Bellevue, Washington today. That single bit of information is all we have to go on for now, but amidst the other intriguing developments at the company, one can’t help but imagine the possibilities.

Earlier this morning, we heard more about Valve’s hardware initiative, which — according to a job listing — includes “hardware design, prototyping, testing, and production across a wide range of platforms.” It’s entirely possible the visit by Cook (assuming it really did happen) is wholly unrelated.

Even still, the mere prospect of Valve and Apple doing something together is highly intriguing.
