Plus see how else Nintendo performed in June

Good news, everybody! Animal Crossing: New Leaf has sold more than 505,000 combined physical and digital units. More than 20% of the total sales came from the digital sales, in fact. Nintendo says that internal sales trackers show the game is going to have a strong July as well, thus poising New Leaf to be one of the biggest games of the summer.

More good news! The 3DS sold nearly 225,000 units in June, making it the best-selling videogame system in the United States for the second consecutive month in a row. Additionally, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D sold another 108,000 units. Plus, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon moved an additional 115,000 units all last month, bringing lifetime sales total to more than 750,000 units.
