A look at NVIDIA’s Project Shield

Handheld to enable players to carry their PC games into the bathroom

Spencer Hayes caught up with NVIDIA project manager Justin Walker at GDC 2013, where he was showing off Project Shield, a handheld gaming device capable of playing Android games and streaming PC titles direct from the user’s computer. 

I can’t say that I’m sold on this, but I’m also not really in a position where I feel I need to carry my PC games in the palm of my hand, either. It’s compact and sleek, I’ll give it that, and I think the concept could be great for those of us who share living spaces with significant others and family who like to use the television for things other than games.
