A Link to the Past 2 will run at 60 fps in 3D mode

Also, producer Aonuma wants to work on something other than Zelda

Nothing gets the blood pumping like new Zelda details, and the July issue of EDGE magazine has got the junk you need.

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has confirmed that A Link to the Past 2 will run at 60 frames per second in 3D mode, whereas almost all 3DS games have been capped at 30 fps in 3D. “The faster the framerate,” he explains, “the more stable the 3D effect, so 60 fps is a big deal.” The 3D effect isn’t mandatory for any puzzles, so you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.

Regarding the unannounced Wii U Zelda, Aonuma states that his team will introduce many unexpected elements never before seen in the series. On the flip side, he also desires to move away from Zelda before his time with Nintendo is up: “I want to try all sorts of new things before it’s too late — I don’t want to get to the end of my career and only have worked on Zelda. But every time I come up with some good new ideas, they end up being used in a Zelda game!”

Ain’t that a motherf*cker.
