inXile Entertainment has released their HD re-imagining of Choplifter for the PC, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade today for $14.99/1200 MS Points. Choplifter HD is just the latest in a long line of games to get the much deserved retro revival treatment.
Our review went up today detailing all that you can expect. What wasn’t mentioned is that there’s going to be FREE downloadable content coming soon. The DLC packs will include additional helicopters, each featuring unique abilities. Some examples of this include the medical helicopter that disables the wounded rescue timer upon pickup. Then there’s the helicopter that lets you carry more passengers.
Additional DLC will be released later on that will include new missions, mini-games and more. In the mean time, check out the gallery below that contains an exclusive look at the helicopters you can pilot now, and the ones you can expect to pilot soon.
