A few new initiatives will bring many more affordable games to PSP owners out there. The first is a new PSP Favorites software line, which offers titles at $9.99. The line kicks off today at participating retailers with a handful of games. Here’s a few you might be interested in:

  • Ape Escape: On the Loose
  • Buzz! Master Quiz
  • Hot Shots Golf Open Tee
  • LocoRoco 2
  • Patapon 2
  • PixelJunk Monster Deluxe
  • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo
  • Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow
  • Twisted Metal: Head On

Third parties are also joining in, so games like Manhunt 2, Silent Hill: Origins, Sims 2, The Warriors and others will be knocked down to $10.

On top of this, a new “Digital Game Pack” will be available to new PSPgo purchasers, giving them vouchers to download three “premier” PSP titles from the PlayStation Network. Good from now through March 31, 2011, you’ll get LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, and SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 with your system. Nice!

Finally, the Greatest Hits line now fattens up to include more than 60 titles. Some new additions to the lineup include Little Big Planet, Secret Agent Clank, and Gran Turismo.

If you were lacking in PSP games, now’s the time to fix that!
