Disappointing news tonight from the folks at Media Molecule. The highly-anticipated sequel, LittleBigPlanet 2 has had its release date moved into next year. Originally expected to release in time for the holidays, the title is now expected to be arriving shortly after they pass, in January 2011.

That’s a bummer. I know how popular the game is with its players and my heart really goes out to those amongst you who were looking forward to all the neat building tools that are coming. Still, Media Molecule seems committed to bringing the best possible product to market, so hopefully the additional wait will be worth it.
