Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight

The Diablo 4 Midwinter Blight event is live now

Tons of cosmetic rewards

The first limited-time event for Diablo 4, Midwinter Blight, has officially begun. The Midwinter Blight brings with it a period of perpetual darkness and bitter cold that will consume all of Fractured Peaks. As part of the event, players can take on new event quests, upgrade the new event hub, challenge a new event-specific boss, and earn event-specific rewards including a bunch of new cosmetic items.

A new character, Gileon the bard, seeks to reignite the holiday spirit of Kyovashad by enlisting the players help. The event-specific area, Midwinter Square, will allow players to build it up and upgrade it as they slay new Blightfiend enemies around the Fractured Peaks. Several new items can be used to progress the status of the Midwinter Square to unlock new rewards including a mount trophy, class-specific back trophies, weapon cosmetics, the Shard of the Dawn Offensive Legendary Aspect, Gileon’s Brew, and more.

Players can eventually also take on an event-specific boss, the Red-Cloaked Horror.

It looks like the event is only available on Seasonal realms, so those who are playing on the Eternal Realm won’t be able to partake without creating a Seasonal character. It seems like an odd choice to not allow characters on the Eternal Realm to join the festive event, but there’s probably a reason for it.

The Midwinter Blight event in Diablo 4 is live now and lasts through January 2.
