The Division 2’s PC specs reveal options for uncapped frame rates and resolutions

Have it your way

Agents going to war in the DC area have a few extra tricks in their arsenal — if they’re on PC, at least. Ubisoft has announced the PC specs for The Division 2 ahead of its March 15 release, and there are some nice customization options.

In the above-embedded video, developer Massive Entertainment stresses that The Division 2‘s PC version was created specifically with PC in mind rather than being just an adaption. This results in a series of features for players to tweak to their liking. Ubisoft says The Division 2 on PC will have “uncapped frame rate, uncapped display resolution, full UI and HUD customization, multiscreen and widescreen support, variable refresh rate support, and HDR support.”

Basically, you can get whatever your computer can handle. Push it to the limit if you want. Prioritize frames over resolution. Or vice versa. The world is your depressingly bleak war-torn oyster.

But (and this seems like a pertinent time to bring this up), what can your PC get out of The Division 2? You’ll need one hell of a rig to run at elite settings, as Ubisoft recommends a RTX 2080Ti to maintain 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. That’s the best gaming GPU on the market, and not a whole lot of people have one because there have been supply issues since they launched. The rest of the specs seem more reasonable, though.

Here are the requirements to run The Division 2 on PC at minimum, recommended, high, and elite settings:

Minimum — 1080p at 30 FPS:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8, or 10
  • CPU: AMD FX-6350, Intel Core I5-2500K
