The insanely popular One Punch Man series is finally getting a game

‘A Hero Nobody Knows’

Even if you don’t watch anime and are completely disconnected from that part of the world, you’ve probably heard of One Punch Man. Or, at the very least, since you frequent a gaming site after all, you’ve seen its hero by way of someone’s avatar. Now you don’t have to worry about not being aware of it, as the series is getting its first game adaptation.

What began as a manga installment in 2009 and completely blew up in the past several years by way of the anime adaptation, the upcoming game is called One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. Developmental duties will be handled by Spike Chunsoft, with Bandai Namco publishing. It’ll feature 3v3 battles with teams, and the main character Saitama is confirmed, along with Genos, Fubuki, Mumen Rider, and Sonic. Spike Chunsoft is primarily a JRPG-centric studio, but they’ve already produced fighters/brawlers in the past like J-Stars Victory VS.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One “soon.” It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out: I’ll make the “wait for a sale” (NSFW violence in the video) joke early.
